If Androids, especially those new types, are immortal. Some of them impregnated with false memories that led them believe they are humans would eventually figure it out by outlive anyone around him without getting old.

What do we find out about Rachel? - She led Deckard to believe that she was an actual human being with difficulty to understand empathy therefore was unable to pass the Voight-Kampf test due to her special childhood experience. Deckard almost bought it and considered the test flawed until he captured a glimpse of disconformity(that she referred the owl as "it" instead of her) in Rachel and realized she was a robot programmed (with false childhood memories impregnated) to believe she was a real human being. She was equipped with the most advanced robotic brain: Nexus-6. To what does Rick attribute the possibility that Luba thinks she’s human? - Luba and the other android police officer both mentioned the possibility of the false memory that Rick may have been planted. The inception of this idea somehow bewildered Rick. The reason that Luba might think she’s human is exactly that, she might have been planted with false memories. On the first page of the chapter, Garland says that he had an “intuition” about Deckard: Does this seem odd? Why? - It naturally seems odd that an android could have an intuition. But taking this question deeper, we should think about what is an intuition? To me intuition has a lot to do with consciousness, or the unconsciousness. It happens when we figure something without consciously thinking about it. These androids are clearly conscious of their existence. Would they also think about things without conscious? What do we discover about Resch (via Garland)? - Resch is an android just like everyone else in the fake police station without knowing it itself/himself because he/it was implanted with false memories which led him/it to believe that he/it was a human bounty hunter. What about the idea that Polokov was an advanced, undetectable andy? Does that have broader implications for others? - Garland, the fake officer mentioned that “Polokov was a good one. Almost good enough.” It seemed to imply the possibilities that eventually there would be androids good enough to be exactly like humans and pass all kinds of tests.
